What Is Fluorescent Paper?

Fluorescent paper is paper containing fluorescent substances.

After absorbing ultraviolet light, a bright light can be emitted in the dark.

Depending on the fluorescent material, different shades of light are obtained.

Paper properties and methods of manufacture are the same as those of map paper.

Fluorescent pigments (which can be excited by ultraviolet light and cannot be sustained in the dark, average size about 1 m) can be added by conventional slurry filling or pigment coating.

Used to print military maps so as to see the handwriting on paper without illumination.
