Brazilian Paper Export Market Development Is Strong
According to the Brazilian Forestry Association report, the Brazilian pulp exports in August this year, more than 8.4 million tons, an increase of 13.6%; paper exports more than 1.4 million tons, an increase of 5%. The increase in paper exports was mainly due to a decline in pulp and board consumption in Brazil, which has forced paper to focus on overseas markets in order to sustain paper market growth.
China's strong demand for pulp has had a positive impact on the export of Brazilian pulp, with data on China's exports amounting to US $ 1.35 billion or 37% of total pulp exports. From the paper export market, Latin America's share of exports was 58%, ranking first, reaching 725 million US dollars; followed by the European market, the export share of 12.2%, 153 million; the North American market share of exports accounted for 10.1% , Ranking the third, reaching 126 million US dollars.
It is worth mentioning that, due to the increase in paper exports, Brazilian paper industry increased its share in the entire export market. Data show that exports of paper products increased by 0.2% share. Among them, pulp growth of $ 4.4 billion, an increase of 6.7%; paper growth of $ 769 million, an increase of 19.4%.
